Silent Meeting

The Language Of Love – A Write Tribe Contest

valentines_contestMy first meeting with someone who was to be my life partner was an amazing experience. “When you say nothing at all…you mean a lot,” and that exactly his eyes did, he gave me an intense look and then pretended to mix with others. I found him as the only gentleman in this world…. Unspoken love was shouting inside me, ‘YOU ARE THE ONE!’ That mesmerizing look of him was my passport to the kingdom of his heart.

Our hearts swapped their positions and were very contented to be there. Gradually worldly responsibilities engaged us and made us more matured. Infatuated by lifestyle rather than life, we started treading in our own manners.  Though more concerned for each other our feelings somewhere became a little numb. Our relationship seemed to be like a faded painting where the lovers hold each others’ hands with smudged faces.

Love is not only walking hand in hand, it is walking for each other in need. Love is not superficial it needs the lovers to get into its depth, and seek the rare pearl of true love.

images (1)On our grand day after long, I could feel the same which happened fifteen years ago. I entered myself and again found him to be the only gentleman on this planet…his caring gestures and lovely smile made me shout again, but silently, ‘you are the ONLY one!’ I whispered to him, ‘When you say nothing at all…you force me to fall in love with you again and again.’ He said nothing, but gave me that same intense look and a warm smile. This re-vitalized our relationship and made our love story never-ending.

Image‘Mom I don’t like didi’s (elder sister) interference in my personal matters. If there’s big age-gap between us, it doesn’t mean that she’ll rule my life. Why doesn’t she rule her husband?’ Jia complained to me because Juhi had stopped her from attending teenager’s night-party.

Juhi looked at me with helplessness.

How do I tell her about you that you are her real mother; how I and your Imagepapa hid that bleak phase by bringing her up as our daughter in-front of the world? Sometimes… we have to accept things as they are and let the life naturally move forward.’ I sighed.

This post is written for 100 Words on Saturday – the prompt this week: how do I tell her about you

A Second Chance

ImageShe sat calmly on the garden chair with her cup of tea and tried to be completely normal because after her divorce with Kevin she had never witnessed a moment which allowed her to live with self respect. She had seeded inside her the guilt of being an incompatible partner and had considered all the support of her well wishers as a charitable sympathy only.

All her married friends had drifted away from her; without Kevin she felt herself vulnerable and unwanted. She had confined herself to her work and home, but at home she felt the attacks of mood swing and wanted to attempt suicide. She knew it was not possible to do so, but the more she thought about Kevin’s behavior the more she got depressed. Three months passed away in this tumult making her mind state worse than before.

ImageOne day she happened to write about that fateful day just to pretend to her colleagues about her being occupied by office work. When she read back that story, she was surprised; it felt like the burden of guilt from her heart was getting offloaded. She started writing about the past as well as recent happenings of her life in a diary, and after reading all those she felt much better. Gradually she started pouring her heart out and making stories, some with happy endings and some with tragic ones. For her that diary was her soul mate, she vented out all her emotions on to her diary and felt relieved. Nonetheless writing and reading her own stories made her feel inspired. The lacuna of her life seemed to bridge up.

ImageShe found herself connected with each and everything in this world in many ways; eventually her thoughts unleashed themselves and set on the journey of manifestation. Her quest of her own life began from that point. Reena found the way of living with dignity. Now she was a changed person who was out of guilt, anger and hatred; she bore a neutral personality. According to her she was not short of anything, in fact she was the custodian of her own inner joy and happiness.

‘An honest account’, her autobiography in the market has become the talk of the town. All the copies were sold as hot cakes. Social networks are spreading the news as forest fire and she has become a celebrity. Never in her wildest dreams had she ever thought of such a moment being alive. It was all unbelievable for her, but sometimes when her mind follows the track of her past life and pauses on that time when Kevin and she were…she pulls her mind back and tells herself the story of everlasting love because now she is in love with her own life.

ImageAs she saw time in her wrist watch, she abruptly got up from her chair because there are many engagements in line and she has to be modest towards each and every invitation after the success of her book.

We all wish her a very positive beginning of her new life!
