Fulfilled life

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style”

― Maya Angelou

I love this quote a lot, it defines a modern individual who wishes to lead a fulfilled  life by following its heart in the brightness of its mind.

Hope we all not only speak positive, but also act positive.

Infatuation or…

Fiction 55

Infatuation was the name given to the relationship of those teenagers, whose innocent love collapsed while taking a leap of faith over the lofty-ideals of society. Despite the emotional injuries, they were patient and silent; they knew that the universe will conspire to make their decision happen…and it did happen…

Today is their 25th wedding anniversary!!!

Ending the tug of war…

m6KallHgNxHZIP0Wx-UqiuQShe stared vacantly at the painting on the wall, a set of four seasons gifted by her husband with a promise to spend all the four seasons together. It was the most valuable gift of her life, but unfortunately that promise was short lived. How could Sam think of someone else when he had admitted that she was his only love? Was his love superficial?

It was the spring time of her life and she was left alone! What was it that made Sam to leave her for someone else? How will she walk in the same society where she had walked hand in hand with Sam and her head held high?

Only this much happiness destiny had in store for her? ‘I was his only love, I was….’, She talked to herself like a retard. She couldn’t specify what was troubling her more, her lost love or the disgrace of losing her love.

Nights horrified her like demons and days looked dark. The pleasant weathers, the sweet aromas, the melodious music and anything that held Sam’s memory felt like killing her senses. Her life was stopped. She was turned into a machine that could only think. Few well wishers were by her side, but they were also helpless in front of her clinginess towards her past.

She wanted a little sleep, but her mind raced in her dreams too.  A blind alley through which she was walking continuously seemed unending. Suddenly, she experienced something unusual…she was in between two forces. Being pulled from the either sides, she decided to walk further. As she pulled her body along that alley, she saw a dim light and heard a sound, she pulled herself with force and wanted to follow that light and sound.

‘Do you still want the love of that person who doesn’t love you?’ questioned her inner voice.

‘But he loved me a lot and I can’t forget those moments…’, she replied in her feeble voice.

‘No need to forget those moments, they are the valuable assets of your life; If you are a person with self respect then forget him and forgive him…Cherish your moments spent with him, or don’t think about him’

‘It’s difficult to live without him because I’m nothing without him’

‘Ok, if he comes back to you…will your life become same as before?’

‘Do you want to beg for his love?’

‘Not at all’

‘Do you want him to insult you again and the people to sympathize with your situation?’

‘Then think what exactly you want? Either ruin your present and future for your past or just live the life of only today.’

‘It’s not that simple but I will try it’images

‘Try to make yourself super busy and postpone the negative thoughts for tomorrow…Just promise to live the present day only’

As she walked faster to reach that light, she woke up…

She could still feel the echo of that sound and the brightness of that light in the form of a determining morning.

Life at many points is a tug of war, and it’s consequences are faced by the helpless people. If the voice of inner self is heard purely, there are complete chances of inner peace being present there.

Remembering you…

173905517743f51df2ff1d9fdd126380I looked at her continuously, she was smiling… a tear came rolling down my cheek. Though it is unusual for a strong man like me, it shows my love for my wife who now always smiles from behind that frame.

She was a devoted and loving person who made me feel comfortable during my troubled times, who was the backbone of my existence and the one who never wanted any appreciation in return. Such was my wife Mandy.
But we people take our loved ones for granted because for us they are always meant to be at our disposal. Her only desire was to get a little of my attention as a lover…yes… just this much!

At that time, it all seemed immature to me and I never reciprocated whenever she took the initiative. If I ever had any idea of her short companionship, I would have filled her life with all my love and warmth.

Sometimes I think what if she can see that how much I love her and how much I miss her? The only regret will be that what I am doing now would have been of great value if it was done at the right time.

If love is an intense emotion which is felt through the soul, then my soulful declaration of love for her will definitely rest her in peace. I am privileged to have my life shared with her.

We never know what destiny has in store for us, but we should always do the things that never land us in a regrettable situation.

Dangling on the chain was….

Festive promotions, crowded shops, customers on shopping spree and fun filled air were driving Jia crazy to the window of that shop. Ten minutes ago she had gone inside but her savings were not enough for that purchase. Why was she so crazy about that? A young working girl of 21 worries about a lot crazy things, but she was trying to do more than that.

She took three round of that same lane and kept on thinking how to adjust her budget and buy her desire. Finally she decided and determinedly went back home.

Next day she took the chance of asking for advance salary of two months; it was her confidence or her luck, she got it.

Triumphantly she entered the shop and purchased her desire which was driving her crazy since the previous day.  On reaching home she shouted with excitement, ‘mom!’

Mom‘s face filled with love, pride and emotions…..  Dangling on the chain was a solitaire diamond pendant that Jia bought for her mother, and kept her father’s promise he made  before he had left for the war.

In the background

Opportunity knocked her door, but her parents wanted her to settle abroad by marrying a guy of their choice. She mocked at her degree of fashion-designer and surrendered. After marriage, in her community she got a chance to design clothes for a local fashion show. It was an opportune time for her to show her […]

When I was young my mom told us stories before we went to sleep, but sometimes when she ran out of her story stock she would drive down the memory lane and told us about some interesting incidents. She would become nostalgic and narrate the whole story in such a beautiful way that we […]

Hot looks & cool personality

I’v seen compliments turning into complaints. It’s just 2 years ago when she saw images (2)me in a marriage function. As I showed off to be a trendy boy from a metropolis, I was the center of attraction in my elder brother’s wedding. I was totally surprised when I knew that my sister in law’s friend is taking fancy on me. It was an appropriate occasion to express my emotions to her, “Tum ko dekha to yeh khayal aaya….Saaya”(on seeing you I felt that you are a cool shade in the scorching heat of life) I was undergoing the feelings of possessiveness, when she complimented me as a cool guy with hot looks. Our attraction blossomed into love.  After approval from all sides I and Sally got engaged on the reception party of my bro. Festivities continued.

Flattered by awesome compliments from my fiancée I seriously tried to match my avatar. In the beginning it was pleasant but after our marriage I was tired of working seriously on what my wife has thought about me. Actually, I am a simple, a bit moody and a down to earth guy, but what I was trying to prove? She is my wife; she will know of my reality any how…’come on stop all this nonsense!’ I reviled myself.

After getting back into my reality, life scene has totally changed. Now my wife’s  compliments have Husband-and-Wife-jokes(1)become complaints, ‘I was so impressed by your cool personality that I thought I will always have a hot boyfriend in the form of my husband, but you are a cold husband with only hot temper!’

Incredibly Inspiring….

It’s an Incredibly Inspiring source… that has made my house (blog) a home…

Starting a blog was easy but to bring it up and nurture it with regular writing was a great deal. At that point of time Write Tribe of Corinne Rodrigues pushed me on the track of imaginative writing by-

  • the gentle force of the prompts,
  • embracing me and giving me the company of like minded people (love you all my co-bloggers),
  • providing regular doses of creative development,
  • teaching blog etiquette

"Ces fermiers qui nourissent la planète" (Californie)

I consider Write Tribe as a portal for the naive like me to get into the word of blogging, it has given me  a world of fantasy, and time to time encouragement to keep me flowing into the stream of my own creative imagination.

Today I can’t stop myself from admitting that I have gained a lot from Write Tribe as a blogger, and I am grateful to Corinne Rodrigues and all the lovely bloggers associated with Write Tribe.  A BIG Thank You to you All!

Now it’s your turn to tell about your source of Inspiration….

Sometimes people do not know how some of their positive acts benefit others in the run of this life.
